Bally Technologies and Aristocrat will first launch a play-money offering, which will build a fan base. Once the state or the federal government okays online gambling, then the two companies will launch their real-money online gambling site, appealing to players that have already registered with their free-play applications.
It seems like an air-tight plan. The two companies have everything figured out for when online gambling becomes legalized in the United States. Basing their operations in Nevada is also ideal, as it is likely to be one of the first states to introduce intrastate gambling.
