It has recently been announced that IGT is the recipient of a 2012 Manufacturing Leadership (ML) 100 Award from the Manufacturing Executive Organization. The award highlights the company’s achievements in manufacturing excellence, honouring the company’s dedication to sustainable business practices.

The ML Awards specifically honoured IGT’s  “Engineering and Manufacturing Cost Reduction Project”, one of the few of its kind in the gaming world. Providing poker machines to casinos around the world can be an expensive task, especially in a volatile economy. So, it is important for companies to find new ways to cut costs. IGT has done just that and the Manufacturing Executive Organization has recognized the company’s efforts.

IGT has also been nominated for three other prestigious awards from the organization: High Achiever Award, the 2012 Manufacturer of the Year Award and the 2012 Project of the Year Award. This is certainly a huge honour for the company, as many gaming developers rarely receive multiple awards from the same association in one year.

It will be exciting to see just how IGT fares; these awards will be handed out on May 2, and we will be showing our support for this popular pokies developer.
