Senator Xenophon has suggested that the parliament approve new limits for poker machines. He has proposed a $1 limit per single wager and a $120 limit per hour.
The limits are meant to prevent players from losing control of their spending and chasing losses. It is thought that the limits will help to curb problem gambling spending.
