Last year, Game Account Network (GAN) and Konami negotiated a deal that would bring that would bring the poker machine manufacturer’s games into the online gambling market. This week, they have formalized their partnership, and the gaming industry can now look forward to the addition of Konami’s innovative suite of games at online casinos.
As part of the deal, the two companies will work together to bring Konami pokies online in regulated markets like the United Kingdom, Italy, Spain and possibly the United States. There is also the possibility that Konami may expand into the mobile gambling market.
This will be the first time that Konami pokies will be available in the online world, exposing a brand new audience to the unique themes and gaming formats provided by the company. “Working in close collaboration with Konami to bring their games online in regulated internet gaming markets is a unique privilege,” says Dermot Smurfit, CEO of Game Account Network.

The company is quite experienced with helping land-based pokies transition into the online gambling market, as Game Account partnered with Aristocrat in 2011. Since then, many of Aristocrat’s land-based poker machines have become success at online casinos – and the same effect will be seen with Konami games. The deal will also provide GAN with an in to land-based casinos.
Using Konami’s Synkros management module land-based casino game will have access to Game Account’s GameSTACK internet gaming system. As such, this deal provides great benefits to both parties involved, and we will certainly see great things come from this partnership.
