Microgaming is well-known as an online gaming operator that develops a wide range of innovative online pokies. Experiencing huge success in its time, Microgaming is always eager to share the wealth by donating funds to various health, education and charity initiatives. Recently, the company has established a new corporate identity for all of these generous corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities – named PlayItForward.
The new PlayItForward program will include all of Microgaming’s community initiatives, such as funding health, sports, charity and education programs. Over the years, Microgaming has provided various organisations with valuable funding, such as local sports teams and medical centres. The company has also recently launched a scheme for education bursaries.
Previously, Microgaming Health & Care Trust handled all of the donations to medical centres and hospitals, but that organisation will now be included in PlayItForward. Since the Trust was established in 2002, it has paid out £800 000 to benefit a wide range of medical initiatives.
“Stepping into the spotlight, Microgaming PlayItForward will allow us to combine all of our efforts and resources for the greater good,” says Roger Raatgever, Microgaming CEO. “As public awareness increases, so too will opportunities to provide help where it is needed the most, which is exactly why we consolidated our CSR practices into a single identity. The Isle of Man is our home and we are only too happy to give something back.”
It is great to see a gaming provider take such a proactive stance when helping out the local community. Microgaming is eager to help out local community organisations to boost their growth and benefit society as a whole. It is certainly inspiring, and it is hoped that Microgaming will inspire other gaming providers to follow suit.
