Full Tilt Poker recently launched a new three-handed tournament format. The new sit-and-go’s have become quite popular among the casino’s players, and they can certainly expect to see more participation after two Australian players cashed in on $100 000 in a $50 comp. The Jackpot Sit-and-Go is a new format which players buy in for a small amount and they prize pool is multiplied.
On June 24, 2014, $1, $2, $5 and $10 comps were launched – but they, became so popular that Full Tilt decided to introduce a new level in August: $50. Any player who buys into the comp will be matched with two other players. Then, the prize pool is multiplied by a random number between 2x and 1000x. The chances of each multiplier occurring are:
2x buy-in – 75,929 out of 100,000 (75.93%)
4x buy-in – 15,123 out of 100,000 (15.12%)
6x buy-in – 8,000 out of 100,000 (8.00%)
10x buy-in – 800 out of 100,000 (0.80%)
20x buy-in – 100 out of 100,000 (0.10%)
50x buy-in – 25 out of 100,000 (0.03%)
100x buy-in – 12 out of 100,000 (0.01%)
200x buy-in – 6 out of 100,000 (0.01%)
1,000x buy-in – 5 out of 100,000 (0.01%)
On August 2, three players were lucky enough to have their $150 prize pool multiplied to $100 000! Their pay outs were as follows: FdotFloss (Australia) – $45,000 SirSion (Australia) – $45,000 gismoR1 (Austria) – $10,000 Usually, first and second place receive $75 00 and $15 000 respectively; however, FdotFloss and SirSion decided to split the remaining $90 000 evenly.
The new Jackpot Sit and Gos are available on the web platform, and players can also access them on mobile. Like Rush Poker, it is quite well-suited to mobile because it does not require as much concentration as a traditional cash game or full tournament. “This format is perfect for mobile, so we’re really excited to see the big scores players take down on the go,” says Sarne Lightman, Full Tilt Poker’s Director of Marketing.
