NetEntertainment is becoming one of the biggest names in the online gambling market. Over the course of the past few years, the company has become a popular source of online pokies. However, its games are mostly played at casinos that are popular in Europe. Now, NetEntertainment is setting its sights on the North American gambling market.
This week, NetEntertainment announced that it will be expanding in the United States and Canada. Björn Krantz, Managing Director and Chief of GMO will lead the foray into this new market. With over 15 years of experience in the gambling market, he is the ideal person to lead NetEntertainment into this new frontier.
“Björn Krantz has done a fantastic job since he joined the company in 2009 and in order to secure a successful entry into North America, he has agreed to lead this expansion as m.d. and chief of North America Market Operations,” reads a statement from the company. “He will be replaced in Malta by Enrico Bradamante, currently Head of Account Management and Deputy Head of Malta Operations.”
There are plenty of exciting opportunities available for NetEntertainment in the North American market. Across the United States and Canada, local governments are regulating online gambling. It is proving to be quite a lucrative business, bringing in millions of dollars for operators that obtain state and provincial gambling licenses. Another possibility is that NetEntertainment will operate land-based games in North America.
Recently, the company signed an agreement with William Hill to provide its software to tangible gaming terminals in betting shops across the UK. Since slot machine and VLT gaming is a leading form of gambling in America, there is certainly the potential for NetEntertainment to strike up a similar deal. At the moment, it is too early to tell exactly what NetEntertainment’s plans will be in the North American market.
However, we will keep you updated as new details emerge.
