This week, the Hard Rock Café launched its new gambling brand, Rocksino. Located in Cleveland, Ohio, the new gambling venue aims to redefine the gambling experience. The new Rocksino spans 200 000 square feet and features over 2200 poker machines and electronic games.
The venue is consistent with the Hard Rock Café’s signature brand, as it is decked out with rock and roll memorabilia and is host to a Hard Rock Live concert hall. Named ‘The Club’, the music venue seats up to 2600 people. The property also hosts a number of bars and restaurants. The Rocksino is a diverse venue, so patrons do not have to be interested in gambling if they want to visit the property for a night out on the town.
“We are thrilled to continue expanding the Hard Rock gaming brand with our newest venture, the Rocksino,” says Jim Allen, Chairman of Hard Rock International. “With fine execution, high-quality service, classic Hard Rock vibe and custom memorabilia, we look forward to providing an incredible entertainment experience for guests and Hard Rock fans worldwide.”
The gambling venue opened its doors on December 18th. In the holiday spirit, representatives from the Hard Rock brand used the grand opening to present two generous cheques to local charities. $40 000 was given to the Cleveland Food Bank and the Akron Canton Regional Food Bank. $20,000 was provided to the Kosar Foundation, which provides support to athletes that have suffered head trauma.
There is no word yet on whether or not the Rocksino brand will expand beyond the United States. In Australia, the Hard Rock Café locations in Sydney and Surfer’s Paradise are popular among both locals and residents, and it is a well-known fact that gambling is a popular pastime in the country. As such, Rocksino would be very welcome in Australia’s gambling market.
