This week, the annual SAGSE, Latin America’s biggest gaming expo, took place in Buenos Aires, Argentina. At the event, the industry’s most popular gaming providers showed off their newest innovations. One of the most impressive displays was by Konami, as the popular pokie developer premiered its new Goliath Podium cabinet.
The Goliath Podium is a new cabinet from Konami that offers up a new and innovative approach to electronic gaming in the land-based casino market. With rich 3D displays, unique lighting effects and a high-tech sound system, the new Goliath Podium marks a new era of pokie development for Konami. It is the newest addition to Konami’s ‘Podium’ brand, joining the original Podium and the Podium Slant cabinets.
The cabinet also provides other great features that will be valued by both players and operators, including an ergonomic design. With an ergonomic button panel and contoured displays, the Goliath Podium puts player comfort first. The cabinet also features a smaller carbon footprint, using up less energy than other poker machine cabinets.
“The cabinet is designed for maximum flexibility with respect to available game themes, and we have proven that players enjoy playing on this larger format box,” says Eduardo Aching, Vice President of International Sales at Konami. The new cabinet will be equipped with software from a wide range of existing Konami titles, a great mix of old and new.
Big Africa, Gypsy Eyes and African Diamond are just a few of the games that will be offered on the new Goliath Podium platform. The Goliath Podium will compete with new innovations from other poker machine developers, including IGT’s BluChip NEO cabinet. Both cabinets offer up ergonomic designs, high-quality graphics and a reduced carbon footprint, so they will certainly compete in the gaming market.
We are eager to see which brand will attract more players.
