Crown Resorts plans on making its Barangaroo Casino one of the most impressive high roller gambling venues in the world. In addition to featuring world-class gaming facilities, the property will also be home to luxury villas and apartments – the details of which have recently been revealed.
According to a report in the Daily Telegraph, the new Barangaroo Tower will feature various types of luxury accommodation, including a two-level penthouse and a three-level sky villa. The penthouse will have 5 bedrooms and a study; it is estimated that it will be sold for upwards of $100 million. The sky villa is located on floors 67 through 69, 260m above ground.
The first floor will feature a gym and sauna while the second floor has a media theatre and study. The third floor is a bar and terrace with a view of the harbour. There is no price for this accommodation yet, but industry analysts anticipate that it will be able to compete with the most expensive and luxurious villas in Las Vegas – such as the $40 000-per night villa at the Palms Casino Resort.
The first two levels will be the gaming floor while the third and fourth floor will feature facilities for hotel guests and residents, such as swimming pools and function rooms. The hotel will stretch to the 24th floor, where there will be an exclusive swimming pool for VIP guests. The 25th and 26th floors are reserved for VIP gaming, while the remaining floors will be apartments and hotel villas.
The layout of the building has been detailed in a 411-page design brief that has recently been submitted to the NSW Planning Department. The casino operator is very pleased with its proposal and is confident that city planners will be impressed with the plans.
A statement from the company reads: “This application shows how spectacular our architecture and plans are and how much work has gone into designing a building that Sydney can be proud of.” Header image is an artist depiction of the Barangaroo Tower from ABC News.
