In the online poker industry, Full Tilt Poker and Poker Stars have been dominating headlines recently. Competing online poker providers seem to have fallen into the background – but Party Poker aims to change that with a new loyalty program that will greatly benefit players. At online poker sites, it is usually quite difficult to earn loyalty points.
Players have to spend a great deal of money every month in order to earn valuable perks and move up the ranks of the loyalty ladder. With the new Poker for the People campaign, Party Poker aims to change this. Now, it is easier for players to earn generous bonuses and improve their loyalty level over time. One of the major improvements of the loyalty store allows players to cash in loyalty points for money.
Previously, players could only cash points in for bonuses or buy-ins for tournaments. Now, they will be able to obtain actual cash for their loyalty points. Since the new loyalty store was introduced, players have spent 8.3 million points. This is certainly a sign that poker players are much more receptive to this new system.
The Poker for the People campaign is at the heart of the transformation which is taking place on partypoker and we invite the players to get on board,” says Golan Shaked, Director of Games. “The loyalty store revamp is the result of an open dialogue with our poker community. Re-implementing cash for loyalty points, as well as simplifying our reward mechanisms, were popular requests and therefore included in our new loyalty store”.
