While Aristocrat is an Australian-based poker machine operator, the company has recently been spreading its wings internationally. This week, the company announced that it will be launching Puerto Rico’s first-ever wide area progressive jackpot network – a ground-breaking milestone for both Aristocrat and the state of Puerto Rico.
The state’s first wide area progressive jackpot network will be available on Aristocrat’s Batman™ Classic TV Series poker machine. The game was recently released to rave reviews from both players and industry experts. Batman Classic TV Series does a fantastic job of merging a retro television series with modern gameplay, and it will certainly appeal across the board to a wide range of players.
"We are very pleased to enter into this new agreement with the PRTC to bring Puerto Rico's first wide area progressive to the jurisdiction,” says Aristocrat Vice President of Gaming Operations Dallas Orchard. Aristocrat has signed the contract with the Puerto Rico Tourism Company (PRTC), which dictates that 88 Batman Classic TV Series pokies will be installed in all 22 casinos across the state.
The base jackpot is set to $250 000, which is the largest in Puerto Rico. The games and the network will go live on November 25. "This is another exciting milestone in the history of gaming in Puerto Rico, one of the most vibrant jurisdictions in the world,” says Andy Viera, the PRTC’s Director of Gaming. “We are happy to partner with Aristocrat to bring our first and only wide area progressive to life”.
We are pleased to see Aristocrat expanding internationally. The company maintains a reputation in Australia as being a local leader in the gaming market, and it is great to see Aristocrat obtaining a similar standing in various countries around the world.
We are very excited to see what’s next for Aristocrat in the international gaming industry.
