David Copperfield is the world’s most popular modern magician. He has won 21 Emmy Awards, sold more tickets than any other solo performer and grossed $4 billion throughout his career. Now, David Copperfield has teamed up with Bally Technologies to make magic happen in the gambling market.
Recently, the world famous magician attended the launch of the new Bally Technologies poker machine David Copperfield at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. The exclusive ceremony provided attendees with a sneak peak of the new title, Mr Copperfield himself gave a speech. “They're really doing a great job with the machine. The technology of the interaction and the seat vibrating with the music,”
David Copperfield said in an interview with Vegas Inc. “It's a very tactile experience. It's really great seeing your work interpreted in a new way and done well, and they did a good job”. Jean Venneman, Vice President of Product Management and Licensing at Bally Technologies, also offered up remarks on the game as he noted the impressive graphics and unique bonus features.
Bally worked hard on the design and gaming interface of this title, as it features crisp visuals and innovative gameplay that is new to the poker machine market. The game pays homage to Copperfield’s famous Death Saw magic trick, in which he appears to be cut in half by a giant saw. In the Death Saw bonus feature, the saw becomes a prize wheel which offers up generous cash prizes.
It is always great to see celebrities attending release parties for branded pokies, as it gives the games more mainstream appeal. Another celebrity launch party took place earlier this year, when Adam West attended the release of the Aristocrat’s new Batman Classic TV Series poker machine.
