Crowdfunding is becoming a popular ways of raising money for gambling projects. GamCrowd is one of the industry’s major crowdfunding platforms, and the group has recently launch its first few start-up companies in the online gambling market. The first app is Betify, which operates on mobile phones and tablet computers. Users can wager on just about anything with their friends.
It takes casual wagers to the next level by allowing users to create challenges and bet on the outcome with their friends. It is the first app of its kind, and the innovative program raised £185 000 and through its first round of funding on GamCrowd. Now, the company aims to raise another £300 000 in return for 15% equity from investors. The next app to be launched through GamCrowd funding is SwitchPlayed by Fenway Games.
This unique new app allows users to bet one what will happen within the next minute during sports matches. You can follow along with matches on any media, such as live streaming, radio and television. Simply select the game that you are following and wager on what will happen in the next 60 seconds.
Options include goals, red cards, saves, fouls, offside calls and penalties. “Betify and Fenway Games prove that innovation is alive and well in the gambling industry. Launching both companies simultaneously demonstrates the breadth of portfolio opportunities offered by the GamCrowd platform,” said Chris North, CEO of GamCrowd. It is exciting to see all of these new and innovative platforms for gambling and betting.
Crowdfunding platforms like GamCrowd make it possible for smaller companies to gain traction with their unique ideas, which will certainly help to advance the online gambling market.
We are eager to see what the next round of start-ups from GamCrowd will present.
