This week, the Global Gaming Expo takes places in Las Vegas, and pokie manufacturers are taking advantage of the opportunity to show off their new wares and impressive gaming industry professionals. To kick off this year’s G2E, International Game Technology has unveiled its new rebranding campaign, which comes complete with a new, modern logo.
“It’s high time to showcase our extraordinary innovation, electrifying experiences and unrivaled entertainment spanning new technologies and platforms,” reads a statement from IGT. “Our new logo and brand positioning are the most visible indications of our commitment to engage in a much deeper conversation with customers and investors about innovation, growth and prosperity”.
The rebranding scheme has been named “IGT Blue”, as the company prepares for entry into the 21st Century’s gaming market. IGT has been around for more than 30 years, and it has always been a trendsetter and innovator; however, the company has never updated its look or branding. Now, IGT will be seen as a modern designer in today’s digital gaming era. IGT wants the new brand to be recognizable.
The new logo will have a more prominent presence on the company’s new games, helping to connect players to the IGT name. You can ‘join the conversation’ by following the ‘#igtblue’ hash tag on Twitter. In just six hours, the tag has been retweeted dozens of times by gaming industry professionals and other G2E attendees.
There are plenty of tweets about the company’s new branding scheme and its recently revealed games, such as Avatar: Tree of Life and Jurassic Park. International Game Technology’s new brand and new games will certainly set the company apart from its competitors. While Aristocrat plans to unveil exciting new games, such as The Walking Dead, at G2E, IGT is attracting a great deal of attention thanks to “IGT Blue”.
