The New Zealand Lotteries Commission has just signed a deal with Scientific Games, a world-renowned lottery games provider. The company will provide Lotto New Zealand with instant lottery games for the next seven years. The deal, which was finalised this week, will run from 2014-2015 to 2020-21. According to iGamingBusiness, there is also the potential for a one-year extension.
Although the instant games deal has only just been signed, Scientific Games and Lotto New Zealand have been working together for decades. Over the years, the two companies have worked together on a wide range of lottery projects, and the recent deal will only strengthen their professional relationship. Scientific Games has plans to bring Lotto New Zealand instant games in a new direction.
The company wants to enhance and improve the lottery provider’s existing selection of instant lottery games to renew player interest in this particular form of gaming.
“We are focused on growing instant game sales and funding for our communities by taking our instant games to the next level with the vibrant new designs, foils, proprietary play styles and licensed brands offered by Scientific Games,” says Wayne Pickup, chief executive of Lotto New Zealand. John Schulz, VP of Instant Products at Scientific Games is just as excited about the new deal.
He says: “Using the industry's most advanced instant game design and manufacturing technology, marketing insights – including Scientific Games' unique 15 Determinants of Demand – and more than 40 years of global best practices for instant games, we are confident that our collaboration with Lotto New Zealand will result in great success.”
This is a very exciting development in New Zealand’s gambling market and we cannot wait to see the new games that are released. Lotto New Zealand has made some big claims about the new style of instant win games, and we are eager to see what they will offer.
