NYX Gaming Group, a gaming developer with offices in Sydney, has recently acquired Amaya (Alberta) Inc and Cryptologic. This acquisition will better position NYX Gaming Group in the online casino market, opening up new opportunities for the company to appeal to a wider range of players around the world. Amaya Inc was formerly named Chartwell Technology.
NYX Gaming Group will be purchasing the company along with Cryptologic from Amaya Gaming for $150 million cash. The deal is expected to close by the end of the third quarter in 2015. As part of the acquisition deal, NYX will be part of a ‘preferred supplier licensing agreement’ with Amaya subsidiaries. As such, NYX Gaming Group will be able to provide its games to a various Amaya-powered online casinos and gambling sites.
This deal will last for the next six year. Amaya is a huge force in the online casino world, having recently acquired many large online gambling sites. Now that Amaya owns PokerStars and Full Tilt, it is likely that we will see Amaya Gaming titles available at these well-known online gaming sites and many others.
