Playscan, responsible gambling tool for gaming venue owners, has released an update that will continue to ensure that players maintain healthy gambling habits. Playscan 4 is now equipped with a 6-point scale that helps players better identify their potential gambling risks. Playscan was created in 2007 to help casino and gaming club owners help steer patrons towards responsible gambling behaviour.
Through tracking and monitoring software, the program keeps venue owners informed about their players habits and helps players stay aware of their gambling spending and behaviour. The original Playscan model was based on the traffic light model with green being healthy, yellow being at risk and red being problem gambling.
Now, PlayScan 4 introduces a 6-point system so players can better identify where they fall on the responsible gambling scale. Previously, the software assessed players’ overall behaviour, which helped operators and players to understand their gambling habits and determine whether or not they are risky.
Now, nnother new feature will offer up customized recommendations to players based on the games that they are playing. “Playscan 4 is an exciting continuation of the Playscan saga,” says Henrik Hallberg, Playscan’s CTO.
“By learning from all of our installations of Playscan 3 and the 100 million analyses performed in the series, we’ve made the good parts better, clarified what needed clarification and added a couple of extremely promising features”. Players are provided with a weekly update of their risk analysis, which is not only based on their habits but also on players’ perception of their own behaviour.
They will be notified of their risk level and the program will provide them with tools and advice that can help them change their behaviour if it becomes harmful.
