When it comes to social networking, Traffic Generation is really making the rounds. Over the course of the past few months, the gaming analyst has teamed up with several different social networks to help provide operators with unique insight into their customers playing habits. Now, TG has partnered with Trip Advisor, which will offer up another new perspective on gaming.
Trip Advisor is a well-known travel review website. Users can rate and review all types of travel destinations, including attractions, entire cities, restaurants, hotels and entertainment venues. Since the site was founded in 2000, it has become an important part of the casino and hotel industry.
Traffic Generation’s new partnership with Trip Advisor will use the site’s valuable travel data to inform casino operators about their customers’ opinions of various venues. Data will be compiled from Facebook, Trip Advisor and Yelp, offering up a vast resource of reviews. This will provide operators with insight into players’ tastes to see what they look for in a gaming venue.
“It is not only important for land-based operators to be able to see what customers are saying about them and their competitors on TripAdvisor but also to incorporate this into the overall property marketing & player management process,” says Andy Caras-Altas, CEO of Traffic Generation.
This partnership follows closely on the heels of Traffic Generation’s report that players want to be able to interact with casino operators on a wide variety of social networks. Gathering data from Trip Advisor and other review sites will certainly help gaming providers meet this goal. TG also adopted Snapchat, another unique social network which reaches out to consumers in an innovative way.
We will certainly see more of this type of diversification in the online gambling market in the future. So, now is the time for casino operators to begin branching out into a wide range of social networks.
