“There is clearly a demand and opportunity to build land-based players out of their social play,” says Andy Caras-Altas, CEO of Traffic Generation. “Operators with the capability to bring their games to land-based casinos would have to make decisions about partnering with land-based providers.” Players also expressed their reasons for choosing to play social games on Facebook.
46% of players stated that they enjoy being able to compete against their friends. This is a capability that that most real-money online casinos operators do not offer, but it may be time to explore the option. Leaderboards, messaging and the ability to share content are all social features that could greatly benefit online casino operators.
