William Hill recently announced the rebranding of its Australian acquisition, SportingBet. Now, that the rebrand has taken place, the casino operator has launched its first ad campaign for the William Hill Australia brand. The campaign has started with the release of a 60-second television spot. It takes an emotional approach, focusing on a man who cannot decide what to order from a food truck.
The narrator then launches into a speech on decision-making, ending with the quote “the best decision is just to make one”. William Hill wants to let viewers know that “It’s Your Call”, and they can exercise this right by wagering on their favourite sports. “Australians love a person who makes a call. It shows strength of character we all admire,” says Paul Nagy of Clemenger BBDO Sydney – the marketing firm that created the ad.
“William Hill wanted to champion those people who take a stand, and indeed, who know when enough is enough, because lord knows we need more of them!” You can have a look at the ad here: “We’re confident it captures not only the essence of our brand but launches it off a consumer insight that all Australian’s can relate to, that you respect a person with the confidence to make a call,” says Warren Hebard, Head of Brand and Acquisition at William Hill.
