The SS & A poker machine club is making an effort to provide more funding to local community programs and initiatives. While most clubs across the country have come under fire for not donating enough to charity SS & A is working hard to ensure that its profits benefit the local community. The club has recently announced that $60 000 of its profits will be spent on local community programs over the course of the next three years.
SS & A will be donating 1.5% or more of its profits to charity, an admirable promise. A large portion of this will be spent helping to launch the Albury Wodonga Patient Carer Accommodation Centre. The centre will house patients who are in town receiving medical treatment, providing accommodation for those who need it the most. The club has also donated funds to the Fight Cancer Foundation.
The organization provides care, support and treatment to families in Australia who are affected by Cancer. It has recently set a $2.5 million fundraising goal, and SS & A has helped the organization get closer to reaching it.
