Frog Grog Introduction
The game takes place in an alchemist’s lab, or perhaps it’s a witch’s lair, with bottles of potions and strange animals in jars. The screen is dark, illuminated only by a few short candles and the fluorescent potions. Symbols are represented by the bottles of potions as well as spell ingredients such as plants and animals, and even a beating heart in a jar.
In the background, you’ll see the usual items found in a witch’s or wizard’s lab such as a hat, a mysterious key, birdcages, cobwebs and a spell book. In front of the five reel, 23 payline table which is encased in a wooden potion shelf, is a bubbling cauldron.
Gameplay for Frog Grog
This game certainly offers something different to normal spinning reels. Wagers start at as little as 0.01, right up to 100, and apply to the fixed 23 paylines. Instead of spins, you play game rounds which you can set to auto play from 5 up to 5000 game rounds. On each round, symbols are ‘dropped’ onto the reels.
When drops create wins through matching symbols along paylines, the multiplier on the left-hand side illuminates as it gets bigger. The highest this multiplier will rise is up to 7x for whopping payouts on winning paylines.
Bonus features
As well as the growing multiplier, this game boasts an exciting wild in the form of an orange wild frog symbol. This represents all other symbols and will stay in place throughout further rounds until it forms part of a payline. The expanding blue wild frog symbol will expand across and down to give out on two paylines. The most exciting feature of Frog Grog is undoubtedly the mystery game.
This is triggered randomly when no more symbols can be dropped onto the reels. The mystery game removes lower scoring symbols but leaves the wild frogs, the plant and the moth, and awards wins upon removal of these symbols.
