Pokie Info

Worms Introduction

Fans of the classic strategy game Worms will love this pokie developed by Blueprint that takes it to a whole new level. You can play Worms for free and then try out some of the other free pokies we have on this site. Worms was first created for the Commodore Amiga and then made its way on to PC and major consoles.

Original Fun

The style of this pokie has kept many of the original design features, including the familiar title screen with the letter ‘O’ formed with a hand grenade. In the background you can see ammunition and worms parachuting down, and the reels are filled with worms in different battle poses, such as pointing weapons, in wooden boxes and holding people up.

The theme of this pokie is enhanced by the soundtrack, which plays war-like music with each spin. Worms is a five-reel online pokie with a fixed 50 paylines, and four symbols appear on each of the reels with every spin, giving you more chances to win. You can’t alter the number of winning lines that are activated, but you can select the amount you wish to stake on a spin.

The symbols all pay out different amounts, and you’ll need three or more in a row to win. The Stacked Wild gives you the highest payout, and this is represented by a worm being held up by another. As well as rewarding you handsomely for getting five in a row, this is the Wild in Worms and can replace any of the other symbols, except the bonus, to form more winning lines.

If you manage to achieve 20 Wilds on the reels, you’ll walk off with a 50,000 coin payout, but this is extremely hard to manage.

Three Bonuses

The worm hiding in a crate is the bonus symbol, and this will trigger the What’s Inside the Crate bonus feature if you get three or more of them on the reels. Once you’ve chosen a crate, it will open up one of three different bonus games. The free spins bonus features a health meter that goes down if the Pirate Worm is on the middle reel, but it increases with the Medical Worm on the middle.

There’s also the Army Worm that gives you cash prizes if it appears on the middle reel, and when the meter runs out the bonus is ended. The second bonus is Space Trail, which takes you into space to gain win multipliers. The advance symbol moves you on, but you’ll be attacked if you reach the bomb.

In the Crate Escape bonus there’s another health meter that you can increase by selecting the first-aid kit in a crate, but a weapon crate lowers your health and you keep choosing until your health reaches zero. This is a fun pokie that plays on the entertaining features of the original Worms game, and the three bonus games add to the excitement and give you more opportunities to win. Why not give it a try?
