Reel Heist Introduction
Reel Heist is a Red Tiger game with five reels, four rows and 40 paylines. The aim of the game is to match up winning combinations of symbols on those paylines and reap the rewards. The cop with the truncheon and the whistle may pop onto the reels from time to time to chase various grinning robbers and try to hit them with his truncheon to bring you more prizes.
Meanwhile, look out for the symbols that are related to the cop’s duties, such as handcuffs, his blue police hat and his sunglasses. His badge is important, as lining up five of them will bring you a generous 1000x payout on your total wager.
Behind the controls
When you look at the screen, most of the tools you need are there in front of you. The Spin button is the large yellow disc in the bottom right hand corner. To access the paytable, click the small button to the left of Spin, labelled Pays. In the bottom left hand corner, there are handy tabs for adjusting your wager up or down, and winnings are displayed in the centre.
For a faster game, hold down the spacebar to go into turbo mode, which could mean you have cops and criminals bobbing about all over the place.
Fast and loose
The Wild symbol in Reel Heist is the cop blowing his whistle. You will be pleased to see him, as he can bring more wins your way. Sometimes he has a doughnut under his hat and looks a bit like Freddie Mercury. He loves chasing those robbers, and when he catches them, that means more prizes for you.
Unlike many Wilds, the cop may hang around on the reels in case those robbers show their grinning faces. The cop can move from reel to reel, occupying different positions, staking out the territory and maybe catching a robber or two. When the cop has a robber in his sights, the background of the reels changes colour and the cop’s hat might shoot up to display the doughnut, before he closes in on the robber.
This is where the animation really kicks in, as the cop and robber will scuffle on the screen, and then the robber’s face will be illuminated (along with his multiplier), the robber will be filmed, and there will be a general celebration.
When your win is increased by the multiplier, the words Big Win may appear on the screen, as the total shoots up and some gold coins spray about. We have plenty more free pokies for you to try, so don't let this be the only game to grab your attention.
