Dragon's Inferno Introduction
Watch out, it's another hot pokie from WMS! With classic gameplay features, cool prizes and a fairly slick presentation, this is sure to appeal to many fans of free pokies. A clean graphical style and user interface make it easy to play as well as keep track of key information like bet size and winning combinations.
Layout
Like many of our other pokies, Dragon's Inferno is made up of five reels that have three rows each, which are laid out in a 5x3 configuration. No need to worry about paylines, as the game's 30 fixed ones make it easy to score winning combinations. These winning combinations award a generous range of prizes for instances of three, four and five of a kind appearing on the reels in a valid configuration.
All winning combinations are calculated from left to right in both the main game and the bonus round. There are a total of 14 symbols in the main game, and 11 are regular types that award prizes for successful matches. The remaining three are special and award massive prizes, special functionality and the aforementioned bonus round.
In a nice touch typical of WMS, all of the symbols are related to the theme, with imagery such as noble heroes and mighty dragons alongside the more typical playing-card values like clubs, spades and hearts which make up the lower-value prizes.
Prize Table
The three heroes are the highest-value prize symbols in the game and award the same range of great prizes accordingly. Finding five of each in a valid configuration when playing with the max bet will pay out very generous prizes of 600 coins a time. Next up are the mysterious book and dagger symbols, which also offer the same range of prizes, up to a slightly smaller total of 450 coins.
On the other end of the scale are the card value symbols. The least valuable of these are the spade and heart symbols, which are worth 150 coins at most. Still, though, with fixed paylines, lots of winning opportunities and a great bonus feature, even these smaller wins can add up to something much, much bigger with continued play.
Wild!
First among the special symbols is the gleaming treasure pile, which appears only on reels one, two, four and five. This symbol is wild, which means that it can be used to substitute for any other sort except for the feature as part of a winning combination on a payline. In addition to that, it also awards the biggest normal prizes in the game, with a top jackpot of 1500 coins up for grabs!
There is also a second wild in the form of the gold dragon. This functions in the same way as the treasure pile but will only appear on reel three. Here Be Dragons! Lastly, there is the feature symbol, which unlocks the game's free spins bonus round. Players who find three or more of thee in any configuration will be awarded a set number of free spins, up to a maximum of 40 for five. This feature can also be re-triggered.
