Queen of Gold Introduction
There’s Horus, the falcon-headed god of the sky, rendered here in impressive blues and golds with a beak that looks capable of doing serious damage. The Eye of Horus was the symbol of protection and royal power in ancient Egypt. Not to be outdone, Anubis, god of the afterlife, appears in Pragmatic Play's Queen of Gold in his usual guise as a Jackal.
Not all Jackals that have long, blue hair, but this one does. The less well-known Bastet is the goddess of cats, joy and dance. She has a cat head, you won’t be surprised to learn. She’s a gorgeous blue colour and is probably the most attractive of the icons apart from the great Queen herself. Like all royalty, she only puts in an appearance at important events.
However, when she’s in the hotspot at the centre of the paylines and reels, she will blow you a kiss - more than many queens we know. The wild is Tutankhamen’s tomb, and a shiny blue pyramid is the bonus scatter.
What tomb robber’s gold awaits you?
You’ve got 25 paylines over six reels. The sixth reel has a multiplier on it that can give multiple wins of up to 100 times the wager. The free spins feature allows you to win unlimited spins in modules of 10. You can also apply the sixth reel multiplier to this, so it’s a great winning feature. Every time you spin, the multiplier reel spins, too, so there’s always a chance to boost your winnings.
There are five levels and a Super level. You move upward through the levels by collecting points, and you amass points by collecting five Cleopatra icons in the golden hoop. These can then be moved to different positions on the reel during the game. Click on the icon that currently has the golden hoop, then move to the icon you want the hoop to cover and click on that to make the hoop move.
The multiplier reel contains a Joker icon, which increases your points level if it lands on reel six. The huge potential of the multiplier means that prizes in the pay table start off at a fairly modest level. For example, if you get five Cleopatra icons on the payline, the biggest multiplier that will apply is 200. As usual, all wins are worked out starting from the leftmost reel, and wins are multiplied by your bet per line.
Apologies to cat lovers, but Bastet has the lowest payout of the icons, with 100 coins per five Bastets. That aside, this is a good-looking and enjoyable game, with some great multipliers on the wins that you can play on desktop, mobile or tablet.
